Bud Project 12: Review-ish
The other day while perusing the beer section of the local grocery I saw a new 12 pack. With the craft beer craze, seems that the mega-brews are wanting a piece of the action. Budweiser's club submission is their new "Project 12". According to the box "Brewmasters from each of (their) 12
Breweries created a new, unique beer worthy of the Budweiser name to be sampled across America this summer. Only the best brews survived and are now collected in this limited time special edition pack. With your feedback one could become the next Budweiser."
Okay. It is a little over the top, but it was interesting and I thought I'd give it the ole' college try.
Inside the box you have 3 different brews, a blue, a gold, and a red, in beer terms you got the golden full lager, a vanilla-ish brew and a red ale.
So now that you know what to expect when you pick up the bottle, what about when you raise to the lips? I can tell you right off that Budweiser is the base of all 3. According to the bottles they are all brewed differently, but I wouldn't be surprised if they all just were bud with a few flavors mixed in.
Overall I enjoyed them well enough. I like Bud though.
Anyone expecting a full flavored craft stout or an IPA will be sorely disappointed. Those expecting a mega -brew american lager with a few hints of other flavors, while staying in the $14 12 pack range, then you'll be happy. Would I buy again - uhhh if I wanted mega-brew beer maybe, but if that was the goal I'd rather have a Sam Adams 12 pack. I think it would be a good beer to eat food with.

Hugh Jass Happy Hour
9-12 am is when the money saving starts. Huge Jass burgers at Ave of Champions and S. Limestone may have the cheapest happy hour in Lexington. .75 cent natty draft is down right unbelievable. At that price you can afford the cab ride home. Booze monster approves.
April O'Neil plays with the Turtles Nekkid
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love pornography. HA. Well I also love me some Science Fiction and other nerd-tastic stuffs. It just so happened that a few months ago I came across a rather hot pornstarlet/nerd and fell into nerd-like. April O'neil is her name and rock'n steady is her game. She loves Dr. Who and that's really all that matters. I follow her on twitter @undeaux and she has a great website http://www.heyitsapril.com and she posts things that are pretty swell. She talks about nerd things, and then she posts nekkid pictures of her self, then more nerd stuff. You know. So I came across this the other day and was like, "WHAA..April O'neil". They don't look exactly the same, but I'd shredd-it, as good as any nerd-a-holic could (poorly if you're interested). So - yeah.

Burger King Starting to Sell Beer
The super fast food chain Burger King is opening a bar in Miami. The chain announced the "Whopper Bar" will be the first of bar the chain will be opening in a few select markets around the US.
The bar will feature the regular Burger King menu with a few new menu items besides beer. One of the new burgers offered is the "Black & Bleu Steakhouse XT". Additionally the bar will also have a "20 sauce Toppings Theatre" For your viewing and eating pleasure we assume.
"I think the move is actually pretty smart" Boozemonster said Sunday after hearing the news. "I don't know why more fast food restaurants don't do it anyways. It's already happening in Europe, plus the profit margin on alcohol is so much higher than perishables. If Burger King and McDonalds start offering beer, it may make beer and alcohol less taboo."
The beer in question will be a few American domestic beers that will sell at $4.25 per glass. This price is actually reasonable considering the location. For the full story on the release goto CNN.com
