Best Bars to Celebrate St. Patricks Day In Lexington

Lexington is not hurting for Irish Bars. In fact, about 1 in 4 bars in Lexington are Irish pub-esq. But there are a few that really stick out.

March is an awesome month for drinking. Sure there is a holiday just for it, but the weather starts being warmer and it just is a great time to get your drunk on.... SO here's some good places in Lexington KY to get lit.

Oneill's Irish Pub. Located on Richmond road right out side of downtown. THis place is a staple of St. Patty's day awesomeness. The past few St. Patty's days, Oneill's starts the party at like 7 AM. That is just crazy by any means, but that is how Oneills rolls. Plus they typically have a few specials for the day and they just know how to celebrate ole, St. Patty. Oneills Irish Pub

McCarthy's Irish Pub. A downtown staple since probably when St. Patty was alive and drinking, McCarthy's is a great place to head to see lots of celebrating leprechauns. McCarthy's usually has a special or two, and it is usually filled to the brim with lots of f'd up partiers . . . isn't that what it's all about?? McCarthy's Irish Bar>>

Lynagh's in University Plaza is all about some Irish practicallity. Nothing over the top, just a lot of drinking, darts and some pub food. Lynaghs is in the heart of UK so expect a mixed crews. As close as it is to UK it usually isn't over run with 21 year old vomit bags. Go here if you want to celebrate but not slap the bag type of celebrate. Lynagh's >>

Molly Brooks, new to town, Molly Brooks will be ready to show Lexington what it can do for St. Patty's day. Molly Brooks is downtown, so it will be a great place to wander to if you aren't feeling McCarthy's. It will be interesting to see how they bust a St. Patty's out. Molly Brooks >>

Shamrocks off Richmond road. It will be a neighborly St. Patty's day. Good food. A little laid back, but fun nonetheless. Shamrocks Irish Bar >>

SO that is my top picks... What do you think?
