Liquor Stores Promoting Booze Before Tax Hike
Booze will be more expensive come April 1, 2009. For those wishing to get soused, expect to pay 6% more. Booze around the $17 will be a dollar more expensive. How do I feel about this? Well I'm not a big fan of higher prices, but what can you do, especially when you wanna get drunk.
Liquor Barn here in Lexington is helping its patrons out by putting up these handy little flyers on all the booze. As you can see in the photo it has the price before the hike and after.
For those heavy drinkers it may be worthwhile to stock up now and save a few dollars. But think that if you spend around $170 that will be $180 in just a few days.
Check out all the orange slips.
